The Nan Manefield Young Writers Award is an annual writing prize overseen by Stanton Library and North Sydney Council and it is celebrating it's 30th year in 2019.

Young people, aged between 11 and 18 years, have been invited to submit either a poem or short story of up to 750 words.

The competition is judged in five age categories by a panel of professional writers and has prizes totaling over $2,000.

All winners will also be offered the opportunity to attend a special writers masterclass.
