Dessert-lovers can get their sweet fix sorted at Liverpool on a Roll, the new multicultural food festival coming to Greenway Park in West Hoxton on 30 March.

Popular Sydney dessert merchants Fluffy Crunch and Cream’d Ice Cream will have tasty treats for sale at Council’s newest major event, which dials up the focus on food, with visitors able to try a variety of tasty treats presented “on a roll”.

“Council is delighted to confirm Fluffy Crunch and Cream’d Ice Cream as food stallholders at Liverpool on a Roll,” Liverpool Mayor Wendy Waller said.

“They’ll be selling hugely popular sweet treats that meet our event’s fun ‘on a roll’ concept, playing on traditional dessert ingredients and shapes to produce all-new must-try creations.”

Fluffy Crunch co-founder Michael Karamallis said he was excited to share the Flurrito – a colourful fairy floss burrito – with festivalgoers.

“The Flurrito is a dessert-lovers dream – it’s two scoops of ice cream wrapped in our delicious strawberry fairy floss and topped with fruit loops and unicorn sprinkles,” he said.

“After a family holiday in the USA we discovered a dessert bar serving something similar to the Flurrito and knew we had to add our own Fluffy Crunch twist before introducing it to Sydney.

“The Flurrito is a special treat for us to make so we’ve kept it in hibernation the last few months and we’re looking forward to reintroducing it at Liverpool on a Roll.”

Drawing inspiration from a popular Thai dessert, Cream’d Ice Cream serve made-to-order ice cream rolls topped with an assortment of fresh fruits or sweets.

“We came across the ice cream roll trend in 2016 and it’s a mesmerising, unforgettable experience that was too good not to share with Sydneysiders,” Cream’d Ice Cream co-founder Wilson Yip said.

“We're now looking forward to Liverpool on a Roll to see the creativity of vendors serving products in a rolled form.”

In addition to delicious food, the festival will feature live entertainment, giveaways, garden games, market stalls selling seasonal local produce and a pop-up beer garden with Pimm's cocktails.

Liverpool on a Roll will be held from 5pm–10pm on Saturday 30 March at Greenway Park, West Hoxton. All food items will be capped at $12.

Council encourages restaurants, cafes and businesses to submit an Expression of Interest by 1 March should they wish to support Liverpool On A Roll as a stallholder or sponsor.

Liverpool on a Roll sponsors include Willowdale, Time Out (Lifestyle Publisher Partner) and 2DayFM (Exclusive Radio Sponsor).
