Are you a lover of authentic and delicious flavours, a drinker of crisp wines, cold beers and refreshing beverages? Do you love live entertainment and spending time with your mates? If the answer is yes, then you better grab your tickets for the annual Taste Tamworth Festival, as they go on sale today.

The Taste Tamworth Festival is the premier event on the region’s social calendar. The 10-day food affair celebrates the growers and producers, makers and chefs that provide The New England North West region with delicious food, all year round.

Taste will kick-off for its eighth consecutive year in Tamworth on Friday, 5 of April and indulge visitors all the way through to Sunday, 14 April 2019.

Events Manager at Tamworth Regional Council, Mr. Barry Harley is encouraging people from near and far to come along and enjoy the tasty festivities in support of our growers and makers.  “There isn’t a better way to celebrate the flavours, produce and fantastic restaurants of the New England North West than with 10 days of great food and beverages, events and entertainment, all in good company.”

During the foodie festival, Taste in the Park attracts thousands of food-goers and is the perfect destination for the whole family, with immaculate food stalls, bite size treats for the kids and live entertainment making home in Bicentennial Park - be sure to pack the picnic rug.

Enjoy both Friday nights of the festival at the Fitzroy Pop-Up as the plaza transforms into a night-time food and beverage bar, catered for by neighbouring restaurants and the Post Office Hotel.

Head to the Botanic Gardens for an afternoon of sophistication with high-tea and entertainment amongst the trees and many other events and dining experiences in between.

The annual Long Lunch will conclude the festival, held on Sunday, 14 April at ANZAC Park. Using the finest produce in the region, this is the pinnacle event of the festival as the leading chefs in the region craftily create a three-course sit down meal, resembling a beautiful country wedding.

“There’s something to delight everyone’s tastebuds so I encourage you to come out with your friends and family, sit back, relax and enjoy the finest essences of the region,” added Harley
