Wildflowers
Shire of Perenjori 19 Sep 2018

Perenjori is located in the very heart of wildflower country and offers visitors the opportunity to view some of the most magnificent displays of Australian native flowering plants in the country. Add the chance to experience a real country way of life and you have a great holiday experience, all within easy reach of Western Australia’s capital city, Perth. If you’re heading north for the winter or just looking to break away from the city, take the time out to enjoy all that wildflower country has to offer.

The Shire offers carpets of everlastings, the unique and distinctive wreath flower as well as the bright orange wild pomegranate, bright pink native foxgloves, many species of orchids, grevillea, acacia, purple darwinia and dampiera, thriptomene, smokebush, woody pear, cassias, eremophila, blue cornflower and yellow bells.

Take your time to pull up and have a wander around the many reserves and areas of native bushland. With thousands of flowering plants on offer you won’t be disappointed. And don’t forget to utilise our local knowledge – you can always ask at the Perenjori Visitors Centre on Fowler Street (from July to October) for maps and flower locations, they are only too happy to assist.
