Critical Fire Incident Information People living in, and visiting, the Shire of Augusta Margaret River are urgently advised: A bushfire EMERGENCY WARNING is in place for people in an area bounded by Osmington road to the south, Bell and Stuart road to the north, Jindong-Treeton road to the west and Great North Road to the east in parts of TREETON and OSMINGTON in the SHIRE OF AUGUSTA MARGARET RIVER. You are in danger and need to act immediately to survive. A bushfire WATCH AND ACT is in place for people in an area bounded by Wirring road to the west, Gale road to the north, Sues Road to the east and Rosa Brook road to the south in the SHIRE OF AUGUSTA MARGARET RIVER and CITY OF BUSSELTON. There is a possible threat to lives and homes as a fire is approaching in the area and conditions are changing. Refer to https://www.emergency.wa.gov.au  the full and up-to-date incident information, and instructions on what to do.   Evacuation Centre An evacuation centre is now open at the Margaret River Recreation Centre on Wallcliffe Road.

Please take any essential items such as medications and identification to the evacuation centre. Pets (except recognised assistance animals) are not allowed inside evacuation centres for health and safety reasons, so you should make alternative arrangements for them. If this is not possible, please still proceed to the evacuation centre with your pets and await further advice.
