NOTICE OF VARIATION TO THE RESTRICTED BURNING PERIOD

Section 18 of the Bushfires Act 1954 enables Local Government to vary the Restricted Burning people due to seasonal conditions.

In accordance with these provisions, notice is hereby given that the RESTRICTED BURNING PERIOD for the Shire of Kent has been extended for a fourteen (14) day period from midnight 25 April 2024 until midnight 10 May 2024 inclusive.

Permits are required for burning during this period, please contact an available FCO with Permit request and allow a 12hr response time. Once permit has been obtained, notice of intent to burn must be notified through the ‘SoK Fire Services’ WhatsApp Group.
