Countdown to New Year's Eve with Birds of Tokyo

The countdown is on until WA rockers Birds of Tokyo headline the City of Rockingham’s New Year’s Eve Celebration on the Rockingham Foreshore.

Performing their hits such as “Plans” and “Lanterns”, the ARIA award-winning band will be supported by Big Horn Productions and other local acts to cap off an evening full of family-friendly entertainment in Rockingham.

Mayor Deb Hamblin said the City was excited to have such an iconic Aussie band perform at its New Year’s Eve celebration, which would also feature two fireworks display at 9pm and midnight.

“Birds of Tokyo are one of Australia’s most loved bands and we can’t wait to have them perform this free concert in Rockingham,” Mayor Hamblin said.

Our New Year’s Eve Celebration is one of our most popular annual events and this year the combination of Birds and Tokyo and fireworks is going to make for a spectacular way to ring in 2024.

The City of Rockingham New Year’s Eve Celebration will be held at Churchill Park from 5pm and include:

two fireworks displays at 9pm and midnight, with Birds of Tokyo performing in betweenfree children’s activitiesroaming entertainmentamusement ridesa glitter station and face paintingsensory-friendly chill-out zoneand a variety of food vendors to choose from.

This event is expected to attract a large crowd and visitors to the event are encouraged to take public transport. Additional 555 bus services from Rockingham Station to the Rockingham Foreshore will be available. The New Year's Eve Celebration is part of the City of Rockingham’s Summer Series, a program of free entry, family-friendly events. The Summer Series provides an opportunity for the Rockingham community to connect and engage in fun, outdoor activities during the summer season.

Visitors to these events are encouraged not to smoke, vape or drink alcohol.
