Library Unveils 'Preserve the Past' Photo Digitisation Contest

Cambridge Library has kicked off its "Take 2... Now and Then" digitising old photos competition with a launch event held on Tuesday, 29 August. The competition is open to individuals residing, working, or studying within the Town of Cambridge local government area, and those with photographs related to the Town.

Divided into three categories, the competition invites entries for photographs taken by individuals within the Town of Cambridge, photographs showcasing the Town of Cambridge itself, and photographs captured by individuals under the age of 18. Submissions will be accepted until Sunday, 1 October 2023.

Prizes will be awarded to winners in each category, with first place recipients receiving gift vouchers and second place winners being awarded prizes. The selected images will not only be showcased online but will also adorn various Town of Cambridge buildings. Prize-winners will be contacted via email by Tuesday, 10 October 2023.
