Cappuccino Strip car park closure

The Cappuccino Strip car park will be closed to the public from Monday 15 May 2023 to facilitate forward works for the new Fremantle Police Complex.

The car park was built and managed by the City in 2018 as a temporary opportunity for motorists until the construction of the Fremantle Police Complex could begin on the former Stan Reilly site.

Fremantle Oval (Car park ID 10) Available bays: 74 All day parking: $12 (PayStay) or $13 (ticket machine)

Parry Street (Car park ID 1) Available bays: 167 (three ACROD and one motorbike bay) $12 (PayStay) or $13 (ticket machine)

Norfolk Street (Car park ID 56) Available bays: 24 $12 (PayStay) or $13 (ticket machine), Monday–Friday

Ellen Street (Car park ID 3) Available bays: 100 $9 (PayStay) or $10 (ticket machine)

Esplanade Reserve (Car park ID 11) Available bays: 200 (two ACROD and one motorbike) $12 (PayStay) or $12.50 (ticket machine)

Fremantle has approximately 5,000 parking bays available in the city centre, including over a thousand on-street bays and more than 2150 bays in the 27 off-street car parks managed by the City.

About the Fremantle Police Complex project

The State Government is building an $87.6 million Fremantle Police Complex in the heart of the city, which incorporates a secure basement car park and an increase in the number of building levels, to ensure the facility can cater for future growth.
