The Bazaarium Youth Markets will headline a packed program of events for Youth Week in Albany next month with skate workshops, a pool party and much more planned to involve and celebrate our community’s young people.

Supported by Rio Tinto, the Bazaarium Youth Markets in Albany Town Hall will showcase the diversity of talent of our youth with all stallholders aged between 10 and 25 selling their jewellery, artwork, baked items, candles, cards, woodwork, sculptures and plants.

Manager Community Relations Louise Paterson said the youth had come up with the idea for Bazaarium, and it was more than just a market.

“Leading up to the markets the City will be providing free business development workshops for stallholders to help them develop their business acumen, marketing and design skills,” Ms Paterson said.

“The youth will be creating their promotional material and will be the ones selling their wares at the stalls on the day.

“It’s an excellent way to showcase the skills and talents of our young people and to celebrate all that our youth have to offer to our community, while providing an opportunity for them to develop new skills”

Bazaarium Youth Markets will be held on April 12 -13 from 10am to 5pm, entry is free with cash and card payment accepted.
