Perth's Biggest Golden Egg Hunt
City of Fremantle 25 Mar 2022

Fremantle is set to host Perth’s biggest golden egg hunt these Easter school holidays, with $1000 to be won each day.

Get your best egg hunting team together, grab your walking gear and binoculars and join us for this free ticketed event from Sunday-Thursday 10-14 April.

Follow the trail around Fremantle to find the golden egg. There’s $1000 to be won each day, plus lots of other prizes.

Mayor Hannah Fitzhardinge said everyone was invited to join the hunt and have a cracking adventure in Fremantle.

“Book your ticket, collect your map and hop off to follow the trail,” Mayor Fitzhardinge said.

“As you explore Fremantle, you’ll discover golden eggs in shops and hidden in wonderous and surprising places.

“Along the way, watch and listen for unexpected surprises, like a boisterous Carnaby’s Cockatoo, silly galahs or naughty seagulls, and keep your eyes peeled for footprints and giant images of birds and native animals around the city.

“Find the golden eggs, answer a question at each location and drop your completed entry form to the Fremantle Visitor Centre at Walyalup Koort to be in with a chance to win one of our egg-cellent prizes!”

The golden egg hunt is a special free school holiday activity for families, with a limited release of one ticket per family. Bookings are essential.

The golden egg hunt leads into a spectacular Easter weekend of wild adventures in Fremantle, as the Fremantle International Street Arts Festival presents Wild Freo from 16-18 April.

Wild Freo will see heritage spaces, parklands and streets transformed into animal sanctuaries through diverse artforms including theatre, puppetry, dance, design, illustration, animation, sound, and sculpture.

The golden egg hunt is presented by THIS IS FREMANTLE and the City of Fremantle in partnership with Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour, WA Maritime Museum, Fremantle Markets, FunLab Fremantle, Clancy’s Fish Pub Fremantle, Coal River Farm, Fremantle Prison, Esplanade Hotel Fremantle and Old Courthouse.
