Residential Verge Side Collection

The Shire will be providing a free verge side pickup of GREEN WASTE & BUILDING WASTE (such as branches, timber, fencing and roofing iron).

TO MAKE IT SAFE FOR OUR COLLECTORS, PLEASE ENSURE THE FOLLOWING IS MET:

Items do not exceed 2.0 meters in length, 40kg in weight or 100mm in diameter Green waste is separated from Building waste and neatly stacked Items to be collected are not obstructing any part of the footpath, driveway or road

Items NOT meeting any of the above requirements will not be picked up.  Items on vacant blocks will also NOT be picked up.

All items for collection must be placed out the day before or by 6:00am on the day of collection outlined in the table below:

To ensure no street is missed, each will be checked off as it’s completed.  Any non-compliant items or items placed on the verge after the collection truck has passed, will NOT be collected and will be required to be removed by the resident to avoid incurring a litter infringement.

ITEMS THAT WILL NOT BE COLLECTED:

Broken glass Car bodies, parts or tyres Household furniture Gas bottles Crop material White Goods (such as dryers, washing machines, fridges, deep freezers) Asbestos* Sand, rubble, bricks, rock or cement products Liquids (such as paint or oil) Large logs or wood stumps Chemicals* (such as chemical drums or pesticides)
