Nominations are called for members of the public interested in serving on the Collie Sportsperson of the Year Selection Panel.
The Selection Panel meets once or twice a year to review nominations and select the recipients for the LJ Mumme Sportsperson of the Year and related Awards. Currently there are 2 positions vacant out of the 5 positions that comprise the Panel.
Preferred nominees will have (but not essential)
Experience as a player in more than one sport. Experience as a sports administrator, ie: selector, umpire, club official. Demonstrated an ability and willingness to analyse and evaluate nominees, listen to alternative opinions and make decisions co-operatively.The successful applicants will commence immediately and continue till the end of the appointed term in August 2024, at which time the retiring members may renominate for a further 4 year term.
Nomination to the Sportsperson of the Year Selection Panel is not open to serving Shire Councillors.
