Footy is back at Freo Oval
City of Fremantle 29 Jan 2021

AFL Women’s footy returns to Fremantle Oval this weekend when the Fremantle Dockers take on GWS Giants on Sunday.

The Freo Dockers went undefeated in 2020 but were robbed of the chance to fight for their maiden premiership when the finals were abruptly called off due to COVID-19.

The popular Visit Fremantle Chillout Deck is back and bigger than ever, giving Freo supporters the chance to lay back on artificial lawn and lounge furniture while enjoying the best seat in the house on the raised and shaded deck at the southern end of the oval.

Food and beverages will be available for purchase on the deck, with free icy poles for the kids.

All AFLW games will be ticketed for the first time in 2021 to allow crowds to attend in a COVID-safe environment.

Tickets are $10 for adults and are available from Ticketmaster. Children are free but must redeem a ticket to enter. Tickets will not be available for purchase at the gate.

Fremantle Dockers AFLW members will not need to pay the $10 to enter games, but will still need to register prior to the game to receive their complimentary ticket.

Bouncedown for Sunday’s clash is at 1.10pm, with the gates opening at 11.40am.

The Fremantle Library will be open from 9-11am.

The car park inside Fremantle Oval, car park 16 on Parry Street and the Cappuccino Strip car park on South Terrace will be closed to the general public.

The Freo Docker’s round two match is against the Adelaide Crows at Norwood Oval in Adelaide on Sunday 7 February.

The AFL has only confirmed fixtures for the first two rounds of the competition. Tickets for subsequent Fremantle home games will go on sale the Monday ahead of the game.
