Project Update Paraburdoo Dog Exercise Area
Shire of Ashburton 23 Mar 2020

As our contractors continue to progress with the works at the new dedicated dog exercise area in Paraburdoo, we would like to advise community members on some of the next steps.

From Thursday 26 March, construction will commence to install fencing, signage, water feed trenching and lighting at the park. It is anticipated the work will take two weeks and during this time the area will be closed with no public access available.

This also means that the footpath through the park will be unavailable during this time.

The delivery of park seating and a drink fountain is scheduled for late April and community members will be able to use the park while we wait for this stage of the work to occur.

The park will need to reclose for approximately 3 days to allow for the installation of the seating and water fountain and once installed the park will be ready for community members and their dogs to enjoy.

The newly developed Dog Exercise Area is funded through our Community Infrastructure and Services Partnership with Rio Tinto that focuses on making the region a better place to live, work and play through improving the liveability of regional towns like Paraburdoo.
