CLEAN UP UPDATE Post Ex-Tropical Cyclone Damien
Shire of Ashburton 12 Feb 2020
12 FEBRUARY 2020

Paraburdoo community members are advised the Paraburdoo Waste Disposal Site is still closed following flooding and impact from TC Damien.

We anticipate that we will have the site accessible to reopen, tomorrow, Thursday 13 February.

The Paraburdoo to Nanutarra Road is open but extreme caution is advised due to water over road.

In addition, Rio Tinto have advised that the road to Mount Nameless is closed for maintenance due to the recent heavy rainfall.

We are pleased to advise our community members that all Shire facilities including parks, ovals and playgrounds in Tom Price, Paraburdoo, Onslow and Pannawonica are open to the public following TC Damien.

However the Nature Park at Clem Thompson Oval is not yet reopened but we expect to be open to the public by midday Wednesday.

We encourage any of our community groups to let us know of any damage to their Shire of Ashburton leased areas by the CAR form on our website or at any of our administration buildings and libraries.

Both Tom Price Swimming Pool and Paraburdoo Swimming Pools have reopened following clean up and re-installation of shade sails.

Lane availability at Tom Price pool will be limited at times this week, typically during the morning, due to interim swimming lessons.

10 FEBRUARY 2020

Due to flooding from Cyclone Damien, the Paraburdoo Waste Disposal Site will be closed until further notice.

The Tom Price Waste Disposal Site will be open as normal on Tuesday 11 January.

Our apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. We are endeavouring to have the Paraburdoo site accessible and operational as soon as possible.
