Festive season closures, bin and pre-booked verge collections

 The City's operating hours will change over the Christmas and New Year period.

Administration Centre

The City of Swan's administration offices and Place offices will close at 12pm on Tuesday December 24, 2019 and normal operations and business hours will resume on Thursday January 2, 2020. The City's Community Safety Advocates will be available to assist you with any urgent animal, vehicle or community safety related matters between 7am and 7pm across the festive season, except on Christmas Day and New Years Day when they'll be available from 8am to 5pm. They will be available on our main phone number 9267 9267.

Libraries

The City's libraries will close at 12pm on Tuesday December 24, 2019 and all libraries will remain closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

From December 27 to 31, all libraries will operate with usual opening hours except for Beechboro Library which will close at 5pm on December 27, 30 and 31, 2019. All libraries will close for the public holiday on January 1, 2020, with normal operating hours resuming on January 2, 2020.

Online requests

Online requests lodged via the City's website over the festive season will be actioned once the City resumes usual business hours on Thursday January 2, 2020. 

Bin collections

The City provides bin and pre-booked verge collections throughout the festive season, however no collections will be made on Christmas Day and New Years Day. The following changes will occur to your collection day.

The Bullsbrook Recycling Centre will be closed on the following days: Thursday December 19, 2019 (from 11am), Monday 23, Tuesday 24,  Wednesday 25, Monday 30, Tuesday 31 December 2019 and Wednesday January 1, 2020. On other days normal opening hours will apply. Old clothes, large cardboard boxes and real Christmas trees can be brought to the Bullsbrook Recycling Centre to be disposed of. Reid Highway Dual Carriageway

From December 24, 2019 to January 1, 2020 please direct any queries about the Reid Highway Dual Carriageway Project (West Swan Road to Altone Road) to Main Roads on 138 138.

Swan Volunteer Resource Centre

The Swan Volunteer Resource Centre will be closing over Christmas and New Year from 12pm Tuesday December 24, 2019, reopening on Thursday January 2, 2020. The staff and volunteers at the centre wish everyone a merry Christmas.
