The Shire of Augusta Margaret River has recently partnered with online search platform My Community Directory to provide a local community directory for community groups, health and social services.

The Shire is proud to present the directory alongside our community champions: Augusta Community Resource Centre, Augusta Chamber of Commerce, Cowaramup Halls Reserves and Residents Association, Margaret River Community Centre, Rotary Margaret River, and Transition Margaret River.

The directory details services that are free, funded or subsidised across the region. The Shire has been working with the City of Busselton to ensure the broad range of regional services are included within the directory listings, as well as linking to local business directories namely the Rotary Margaret River Directory and Augusta Directory.

Shire Coordinator Community Planning & Development, Jason Cleary encouraged all community groups and non- for profit services to create or update their listing.

“Having health and community services available in one easy place is important in building a strong and connected community.

“Listing your health service or community group on this platform is free.

“The search platform is used across Australia, with users able to search for groups and services at a particular location.

“We have added in details for a large number of local groups and services, but it's important that anyone who is not on the directory, or who finds their details need updating to do so themselves and actively engage with everything the database provides for the local community,” he said.

The platform can be accessed online at www.amrshire.wa.gov.au/mycommunitydirectory, where a live printable version is also available which is automatically updated daily. All information on the Augusta Margaret River Community Directory is also available on the FREE Access My Community App - search the app store or text AMR to 0488 884 151.
