Local business owners are invited to attend a breakfast event discussing the benefits from improving access and inclusion within their businesses.

The Shire of Augusta Margaret River is teaming up with the Margaret River Chamber of Commerce and Industry and local disability employment provider Forrest Personnel to host the 28 November event themed How Access & Inclusion Can Benefit Your Business.   Topics of discussion include information on financial assistance available to businesses in employing people with a disability, along with success stories from local employers.   The Shire will be launching a Smart Business booklet that provides tips on what businesses can do to create better access for all.   Community Development Officer Katie Taylor acknowledged the input of local employees with disability.   “Many of the tips have actually come from local people with a disability and you can spot some recognisable local faces in the booklet.”   The event is funded by a Lighthouse Project Grant aimed at increasing the local employment of people with disability in our community.   Event info Date: Thursday 28 November Time: 8 – 9.30am Location: Morries Bar and Restaurant Includes a complimentary breakfast and barista coffee.
