Ridley Place Foreshore Master Plan
Shire of Harvey 21 Oct 2019

The new play area aims to provide unique and exciting play opportunities for all ages and abilities, while at the same time engaging with both the cultural and natural heritage of the area.

See below the proposed designs.

Council endorsed the footprint for the proposed Stage 3 and Stage 4 Ridley Place Foreshore Master Plan project at its June Ordinary Council meeting.

To accommodate the proposed kiosk/restaurant/toilet facility the relocation of an existing Shire owned freehold parcel of land (Lot 5 Old Coast Road) and a tender for design and construction of a nature-based playground will be progressed.

Further development of a café/restaurant model will also be investigated to determine the most viable delivery option.

Harvey Shire Chief Executive Officer Annie Riordan said the proposed building had been moved closer to the estuary and a reconfigured path network has been included to incorporate the proposed new building footprint.

Ms Riordan said the proposal will also include bike parking, extended grass areas, a possible solar charging bench, BBQs and picnic tables. She said a half basketball court, interpretive centre and RV dump point was also under consideration.
