Mind the rules when camping around town

Released 5 June 2019

It’s that time of year again when caravans and campers come to town and families come to stay.

The Shire has guidelines and rules around staying in caravans or other temporary structures such as camper trailers and tents to keep the community safe and make sure everyone is able to enjoy their properties.

Campers can only set up on private property with permission from the Shire and the consent of the property owner. Only one caravan/camp is permitted and neighbours must be notified in writing with their responses included in the application.

Camping or setting up a caravan on a road reserve (verge) is not permitted.
