New Year's Eve Picnic and Fireworks
City of Albany 20 Dec 2018

20 December 2018

Bring in the New Year with the City of Albany’s New Year’s Eve Picnic and Fireworks at Anzac Peace Park.

The entire family can participate in the fun from 4pm with a 9-hole mini golf course, entertainment from Jamie the Clown, DJ Nathan Young and Gertrude, giant lawn games and a photo booth from ACE Camera Club.

From 8pm the Princess Royal Yacht Club will captivate the audience, with members lighting up their vessels and ‘dancing’ around one another in their inaugural yacht ballet display. The night sky will then be lit up with family fireworks at 9pm followed by the traditional midnight fireworks.

City of Albany CEO Andrew Sharpe encouraged all residents to gather up their friends and family, grab a picnic basket and blanket and make their way down to Anzac Peace Park on December 31 for a wonderful family night out.

“The New Year’s Eve fireworks event is always a safe, family friendly event,” Mr Sharpe said.

“This past year has been a fantastic year for Albany and I’m looking forward to celebrating the year with the community.”

The City of Albany’s New Year’s Eve Picnic and Fireworks is proudly supported by Act-Belong-Commit, Healthway, Lotterywest, Southern Ports Authority, Albany Advertiser, Fly FM and Gold MX.
