Opening of MacDonnell Regional Council Building

On Thursday, 27 May, Chanston Paech MLA officially opened the Central Desert Regional Council (CDRC) and MacDonnell Regional Council (MRC) new building on Bagot Street in Alice Springs.The event was attended by the Councillors and executives of both councils, the Lord Mayor of Darwin Kon Vatskalis, the Mayor of Alice Springs Town Council, Damien Ryan and the CEO of Local Government Association of the Northern Territory (LGANT), Sean Holden (Kon Vatskalis is also the President of LGANT).The building is used to house the MRC Alice Springs staff as well provide a joint Council chambers for both councils.
