Young Territory Author Awards Writing Workshops

Join popular authors at the Library to get great tips, tricks, inspiration & advice to help you polish your YTAA entry.

7-11 year olds can join Maree McCarthy for a writing workshop at Casuarina Library on Saturday 12 June at 1-2pm. Maree is a Wadjigany woman from the western Wagait region in the NT. She writes to keep her grandfather's stories and the Batjamalh language alive.

12-18 year olds can join Thomas Mayor for a writing workshop at Casurina Library on Saturday 19 June at 1-2pm. Thomas is a Torres Strait Islander man born on Larrakia country in Darwin. Thomas’ books are about understanding Australia’s past, so we can have a shared future.
