Fashionable event celebrates region’s style and creativity

A four-day celebration of the region’s fashion industry will be supported by Council over the next three years.Showcasing local designers, emerging talent, and Indigenous artistry, Cairns Fashion Week positions Cairns as a destination for fashion, creativity, and cultural expression, and attracts designers, models, and fashionistas from across Australia.Council has endorsed a three-year $120,000 sponsorship agreement to help deliver the event from 2025 to 2027.This follow’s Council support for the inaugural event in 2023 with a $25,000 contribution, and $35,000 in funding in 2024.Since its inception, the event has continued to grow and contributes to the local economy through supporting small businesses, tourism, and creative industries.To be held in November, Cairns Fashion week also reinforces the city’s reputation as a dynamic and culturally rich destination.
