49003 – Project Coordination Officer, Isaac Region

An exciting opportunity exists for a permanent full-time Project Coordination Officer to join Isaac Regional Councils’ Corporate, Governance and Financial Services Directorate, based within the Isaac.

About the Position:

An exciting opportunity exists for a permanent full time Project Coordination Officer to join Isaac Regional Councils’ Corporate, Governance and Financial Services directorate, based within the Isaac Region. The Project Coordination Officer position leads the coordination and continuous improvement of the IRC Project Accountability Gateway (PAG) Process. The objective of this process is the implementation of a consistent methodology across IRC to plan, prepare, assess, evaluate and prioritise capital works proposals and investment decisions. The role works closely with all Directorates to guide them in applying the framework and presenting their projects and programs in a consistent manner.  The Project Coordination Officer is expected to significantly contribute to the achievement of the organisation’s goal and to provide consistency and whole-of-business coordination of investment management, decision making activities and the prioritisation of the significant projects competing for funding.

The Project Coordination Officer position also provides project management advice and is responsible for investigating, developing, implementing and maintaining a project management system within IRC. The role also works closely with the Asset Management team analysing infrastructure asset information and contributing in the development and revision of Asset Management Plans.

For this position we offer:

Base salary between $83,917.88 - $99,389.25 per annum (Level 6 - Level 8 -Stream A); Nominally 36.25 hours per week; 5 weeks annual leave @ 17.5% loading; 12% super (in accordance with policy); Fortnightly RDOs in accordance with Council policy.

About You:

We are seeking an enthusiastic person who possesses:

Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Accounting, Business Management or other relevant qualification is highly desirable. Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience coupled with formal qualifications or 6 plus years’ experience if no formal qualifications, including significant project/portfolio management in a complex environment.
