The inaugural Macedon Ranges Autumn Festival is a chance for visitors and locals to immerse themselves in a bounty of autumn colours and autumn-inspired events, with scenic drives, food, drink and artistic experiences across the region.

The ever-growing festival event program runs from 27 March to 26 April, with day and evening activities for families, foodies, outdoor enthusiasts, creatives and music lovers that defines why the Macedon Ranges is one of Victoria’s most spectacular autumn destinations.

“Throughout the Autumn Festival local producers and businesses will be showcasing their autumn finest – including gardens, music, events, markets, and autumn inspired food and drink menu creations,” said Mayor Cr Jennifer Anderson.

“Whether its lunch at one of our beautiful local restaurants after enjoying a scenic autumn village walk, or an overnight stay in order to experience the full scope of our five village street parties – there’s so much to experience in the Macedon Ranges this autumn.”

Mayor Anderson said there’s something for everyone at the Macedon Ranges Autumn Festival.

“The Macedon Ranges is one hour’s drive north from Melbourne, so just a short trip will deliver a unique and immersive Macedon Ranges experience.”

“For locals, it’s a chance to explore the shire in a way you might not have seen before, discovering the wonderful new businesses that have popped up since lock-down and re-acquainting yourself with some old-favourites.”

As part of the festival, Council is proud to be supporting five autumn village street parties, bringing Gisborne, Kyneton, Macedon, Malmsbury and Riddells Creek alive with entertainment and outdoor dining.
