Move your way for Move in May!

Move your way for Move in May!

Move in May is a fun way to get active, stay healthy and enjoy the great recreational offerings of our city.Everyday activities count and participating in some form of activity can improve your mental and physical health as well as enhance social connectivity.Whether it’s braving the great outdoors for a bike ride or hike, trying out a new class with a mate or hitting the pavement, how you move is up to you.Wodonga Council’s Sport and Recreation Officer, Stephanie Holumbiyevska, said the Move in May initiative aimed to build a healthier, happier and more connected community. “There are so many benefits to introducing and maintaining some form of physical activity to your routine,” she said.“Thy physical benefits are well documented, but this year we’re really focusing on the mental and social outcomes that come with exercise.“Exercise is a fantastic way to connect with like-minded people and build relationships within your community.“We’ve got an incredible calendar of events this year, catering to different tastes and fitness levels. “Whether you’re a seasoned mover or just looking to add a little movement to your life, the Move in May campaign will have something for you!”Those keen to take part in organised activities can check out our calendar of events to find out what’s on and how to join in, visit wod.city/moveinmay.Last, but certainly not least, keep your eyes peeled for a fun competition being announced soon.
