Commencing Tuesday, 5 November, the Plenty Valley Road Bridge over the Plenty River will be closed for up to 6 weeks for a full replacement.

These works are targeted for completion by early December, however a shorter period is expected. This is subject to weather, and other works being completed by TasNetworks.

A pedestrian bridge will be in place to allow access during the works period and a detour will be in place for all traffic via Moogara and Uxbridge Roads to Glenora Road at Bushy Park while the bridge is closed.

Emergency Services have been advised of the closure and alternate routes if they need to attend the area.

Given current fire conditions, residents affected by the bridge closure should review their Bushfire Survival Plan, and allow an additional 30 mins travel time in case of an emergency.
