Gympie Regional Council wants your feedback on one of Gympie’s biggest economic drivers.
In today’s ordinary meeting, Councillors endorsed the release of the draft Gympie Saleyards Strategic Plan for public comment.
“We want to make sure we have this plan right,” said Councillor Mal Gear.
“The saleyards are one of this region’s biggest economic drivers and we want the users, being our community and visitors, to give us their feedback on how the facility could be improved.
“This draft plan has recommendations based on the data we have available on the performance of this facility.
“However, it is crucial we have community input into the saleyard’s future,” Cr Gear said.
Feedback on the draft Gympie Saleyards Strategic Plan is available for three weeks via www.gympie.qld.gov.au/haveyoursay.
It is anticipated the final draft plan will be presented to Council for adoption on the 27 November 2019.
