The region’s artists, art and culture champions, future leaders and council representatives will come together on Saturday, 26 October 2019 to explore ways they can grow their creative businesses and expand the industry throughout the region.

The free Arts and Culture Forum, which is being held from 10:00am-3:00pm at the Gympie Civic Centre, will include speakers from the Creative Arts Alliance, Fraser Coast Art Gallery and Academy, Artisan (Brisbane), and local artist Amica Whincop.

The speakers will share their stories and offer insights into running a successful arts business or collective.

Local digital marketing experts, Tenacious Digital will also present a workshop on how to navigate the online world with some takeaway ideas to grow a creative business.

Councillor Bob Fredman is encouraging all local artists to attend.

“The Gympie region is home to a thriving arts and culture sector that contributes significantly to our region, both socially and economically,” he said.

“Supporting our artists to expand their talents and build strong and sustainable businesses simply makes sense.”

The forum is free to attend and registration closes Wednesday, 23 October 2019. To find out more, download a program, and register attendance, visit www.gympie.qld.gov.au.

This is a Gympie Regional Council event that is delivered in partnership with the Creative Arts Alliance, as part of the Regional Arts Services Network.
