Maintenance of our rural road network will take priority this fortnight, with 30 roads in the region scheduled for work.

Boonimba Road, Tones Road, Quandong Road, Kilkivan Tansey Road, Kinen Lane and Sunset Road will be graded.

Kilcoy Murgon Road, Running Creek Road, Boonimba Road, Tones Road, Quandong Road, Ettrickdale Road, Gibson Road, Wolvi Mountain Road, Lymburner Road, Traveston Road and Fosters Lane will receive maintenance.

Ettrickdale Road, Miles Road, Gibson Road, Mooloo Road, Smith Road and Collard Road are scheduled for gravel re-sheeting.

Asphalt works will occur on Tin Can Bay Road, Maryborough Cooloola Road, Groundwater Road, James Street, Jane Street, Sterling Castle Road and Spring Road.

A number of major construction projects are also set to continue this fortnight.

Barter Street revamp: This project includes removing and reconstructing kerb and channel, driveways and the asphalt road surface, and line marking, as well as building a new concrete pathway and landscaping. Estimated completion of this project is 25 September 2019.

Wises Road storm water drainage: Works includes upgrading the stormwater drainage on Wises Road from number 38 to 40. This project is scheduled for completion by 13 September 2019.

River to Rail Trail: Stage three of the River to Rail trail involves the construction of a concrete pathway from One Mile Ovals to the car park of the Gympie Aquatic and Recreation Centre.

Council crews are currently building a concrete pathway along Brisbane Road to Wises Road. A project completion date of 13 September 2019 is anticipated.
