Council maintain project progress

Gympie Regional Council staff have another busy fortnight ahead, building and maintaining the region’s vital infrastructure.

The below summarises some of the important work occurring over the next two weeks.

Waldock Road/Heilbronn Road – Road Widening: The works involve widening the existing roadway including culverts and construction of a concrete pathway. Construction of concrete pathways is underway. Project completion, 7 June 2019.

Mellor Street – Streetscaping: The works involve the renewal of the existing kerb and channel, footpath, planting of new street trees and associated landscape works. What’s happening in the next two weeks. Locating of underground services are continuing as required. Removal of existing pathway and kerb along Mellor Street (between Power Street to Repco). Construct new concrete pathway kerb and channel and stormwater gully unit along Mellor Street (between Chapple Street to Power Street). Project completion, 28 June 2019.

Ironstone Creek Road: The works include removal of existing damaged concrete floodway and pipe culvert. Installation of a new Reinforce Concrete Boxed Culvert structure, construction of a new reinforced concrete floodway, signage, temporary side track, scour protection works and revegetation. Project completion, 15 June 2019.

Duke Street – pathway: The works involve construction of a concrete pathway along Duke Street between Jane Street and Alfred Street. The work includes removal of existing asphalt pathway and installation of concrete pathway, topsoiling and turf. Project completion, 7 June 2019.

Grading in the next two weeks: Running Creek Road, Anderson Road, Devil Mountain Road, Enterprise Road, Phillips Road, Visini Road, Stoney Creek Road, Euston Road, Scrubby Creek Road, Waugh Road, Pit Road, Hyne Estate Road, Hasthorpe Road, Amamoor Creek Road, Chinaman’s Creek Road.

Unsealed road re-sheeting in the next two weeks: Morley Road, Ryan Road, Beenham Valley Road, Meredith Road.

Rural road maintenance: Scrubby Creek Road, Sunshine Road, Long Road, Regan Road, Mary’s Creek Road.

Town road maintenance: Cartwright Road, Old Maryborough Road, Corella Road, Tweed Road, Queen Street, Eel Creek Road, Eucalyptus Avenue, Federation Court.

Slashing: McIntosh Creek Area, Tamaree Area, Tin Can Bay Road, Rainbow Beach Road, Murgon-Gayndah Road, Kilkivan-Tansey.
