Adam Harvey might be bringing the star power to Band Together, but two local acts will be bringing the power of the community.

Music fans around the Gladstone Region are getting excited to ‘band together’ and support the local acts that will be hitting the stage for Gladstone Regional Council’s bushfire benefit concert Band Together on 23 February.

Opening the event in front of a home crowd, Kissing the Flint and Beautifully Broken 1770 will take centre stage in support of Gladstone Regional Council’s bushfire benefit concert.

Gladstone Region Mayor Matt Burnett said he was proud to support the two local bands, with both having band members that were directly affected by the 2018 CQ Bushfires.

“This event is all about showing the strength our region is capable of when faced with adversity,” Councillor Burnett said.

“I cannot wait to see community members come together and support these great local acts, a true ‘for the community, by the community’ event.”

All funds raised throughout the evening will be donated to those directly affected by the 2018 bushfires.

“This event will be free for the community; however, we ask for donations where possible,” Cr Burnett said.

“Keep an eye on the Gladstone Regional Council Facebook page for more information.”
