Do you know of an outstanding young member of the Gladstone Region who should be recognised for their achievements?

Nominations are now open for the 2019 Mayor’s Youth Breakfast, an invite-only event to kick off National Youth Week celebrations.

Hosted by Gladstone Region Mayor Matt Burnett, community members are encouraged to identify and nominate young achievers within the Gladstone Region.

“If you know of a young person, aged 12-24 who should be recognised for their achievements or contribution and involvement in our community, I encourage you to nominate them for this celebration,” Councillor Burnett said.

“It’s a great way for our young people to be recognised for their hard work and dedication.

“Youth may be acknowledged for accomplishments such as sporting, cultural, employment or academic achievements, or for their involvement in volunteering, mentoring or fundraising.”

Nominations are available on the Council website or in hard-copy form at the Community Engagement Centre.

Nominations close Friday 1 March.
