Do you know a young person aged 10 to 25 that contributes to the Bayside community? Nominate them for a Bayside Youth Award and recognise their positive achievements.

The Bayside Youth Awards showcases young people in our community. It promotes their achievements and makes them feel valued.

Anyone can nominate a young person, this includes teachers, parents, coaches or friends and family.

Award categories Community

Dedicating time and energy to the Bayside community through volunteering in clubs and groups, undertaking activities to support and protect the environment, or a special cause.

Creativity

Demonstrating creative excellence through performing arts, music, drawing, painting, writing, scientific projects or entrepreneurship.

Courage

Demonstrating extraordinary resilience and bravery in overcoming a life challenge.

Leadership

Initiating activities or actions that demonstrate outstanding leadership skills and/or an innovative approach that responds to a community issue.

The Julian Gurrieri Memorial Award for Bayside Youth Participation will be awarded to a young person for their contribution, leadership and commitment to at least one Bayside Youth Services committee.

Who can be nominated?

The nominee needs to be between the ages of 10 and 25 and live, work, study or play in the Bayside area.

Nominations close on March 1, 2019. We will announce the winners at the awards celebration evening on Wednesday 27 March from 6pm to 8.30pm. All nominees and nominators are invited.
