The 10-year community plan for Boroondara

The 10-year community plan for Boroondara

The City of Boroondara has officially adopted the Boroondara Community Plan - a comprehensive strategy that will influence everything Council does over the next decade.  As a council, we represent the interests of the community and it is our responsibility to shape a municipality that aligns our community’s current and future priorities, including those relating to their health and wellbeing.  In creating the Boroondara Community Plan, we conducted the largest ever community consultation in Boroondara’s history, inviting residents to tell us what was important to them in Boroondara.  The 11,845 responses we received have shaped the community plan to ensure that over the next ten years, we’re delivering what the community has told us is important.  From these responses, seven key priority themes emerged, and these themes form the basis of the plan: Your community, services and facilities Your parks and green spaces The environment Neighbourhood character and heritage Getting around Boroondara Your local shops and businesses Civic leadership and governance Thank you to everyone who shared their thoughts and ideas, which helped us develop this plan to shape the future of our great city.
