Anzac Day 2024

ANZAC Day (25 April) is a national day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand when both nations commemorate Australians and New Zealanders who have served in wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations.

Commemoration services to pay respect to servicemen and women are being held throughout the shire.

Our offices will be closed Thursday 25 April. To report an urgent issue during this time, call (03) 5422 0333.

There are no changes to bin collection days - please put your bins out as usual.

Commemorative Services
Gisborne

A service will be held at the Gisborne Memorial Cenotaph, Howey Reserve, at 10:30am (please arrive around 10:15am). There will be road closures and traffic management in place.

Kyneton 6am: Dawn Service followed by Gunfire Breakfast at RSL. 9.30am: Parade 10am: Ceremony at the Cenotaph

Malmsbury 8am at Memorial Gardens. Mt Macedon 

A Dawn Service will be held at 6am at the Mount Macedon War Memorial Cross.

If you wish to attend the Dawn Service, you must book a seat on one of the free bus services or catch the shuttle service from Tony Clarke Reserve in Macedon.

Riddells Creek  Dawn Service: 5:45am at the Memorial Gates (next to Riddells Creek Primary School). Romsey-Lancefield

A wreath-laying service will be held Romsey Cenotaph at 8:30am.

Following this, the commemoration service will be held at 9:30am at the Lancefield Cenotaph in High Street.

 Woodend
