Council launches new services catalogue

The Central Highlands Regional Council has launched a new services catalogue, outlining the various activities council carries out to meet community needs.

‘From the moment you turn on your tap in the morning to brush your teeth, council plays an important part in your everyday life,’ Mayor Janice Moriarty said.

‘Whether it’s driving on our roads, grabbing lunch at a cafe, taking the kids to the park or building a shed, council services support the liveability of the Central Highlands region for its residents.

‘These services may be delivered daily, weekly, or monthly, however, they remain pivotal to our region’s success. It is important that our services reflect our strategic direction and drive what we do and why we do it.’

Council’s Services Catalogue 2023-2024 includes services legislated to council, for example, licensing food businesses, and those non-legislated or discretionary services such as providing community facilities.

The document provides a comprehensive description of the scope and offerings of council services, as well as their alignment to council’s Corporate Plan 2022-2027.

‘From maintaining infrastructure to fostering cultural engagement, these services embody our dedication to ensuring a vibrant and sustainable region,’ Cr Moriarty said.

‘Council remains committed to delivering service excellence and meeting the evolving needs of our residents and visitors alike.’
