Ten Days in the Towers is back for 2024, highlighting Charters Towers and its rich heritage, with community groups and organisations delivering an abundance of exciting events over the 10 days.

The ‘10 Days in the Towers’ Festival presents an opportunity for visitors to consider an extended stay in the Region, enabling them to immerse themselves in the diverse range of activities and events on offer.

Council is excited to be able to again deliver a program for the 10 days in the Towers.

“This is a great promotional tool that is being offered to local event organisers at no cost”, said a Council spokesperson.

“We are encouraging any organisations planning events from Friday, 26 April through to Sunday, 5 May to submit their events online for inclusion in the brochure.”

During the 10 days, typical events comprise of local markets, exhibitions, live music performances, workshops, and the highly popular Country Music Festival and Street Parade.

The Ten Days in the Towers event in 2024 will also see the return of the History and Heritage Fair, this year being held in Lissner Park.

Council is eager to see the History and Heritage Fair’s move to Lissner Park, with the announcement being well received by the community.

Once printed, the free Programme Brochure will be distributed to local businesses and neighbouring Visitor Information Centres.

The Brochure will contain a highlight of events planned over the 10 day period.

Inclusion of events in the free brochure is an opportunity for local groups and organisations to get additional exposure for their events, with Council encouraging applications.

Submissions for the 10 Days in the Towers Programme close at 4pm on Friday, 29 March and can be made online at https://bit.ly/10days-register.
