Ararat Rural City Council is pleased to announce an upcoming initiative aimed at engaging residents in a comprehensive community satisfaction survey. Scheduled to take place from January 29th to mid-March 2024, the survey is part of the council's commitment to continuous improvement and seeks to gather valuable insights to enhance service delivery.

National Field Service have been commissioned by Local Government Vicotria (LGV) to conduct a community satisfaction survey on behalf of the Council. The survey has been designed to assess the performance of Ararat Rural City Council across a range of measures to identify ways to provide improvement or more effective service delivery to residents.

The initiative is not isolated to Ararat alone; similar surveys are concurrently being conducted across Victorian Councils, underlining a collective effort to address community needs

The survey will involve 400 interviews conducted among a representative sample of residents, ensuring a diverse and inclusive range of voices contribute to the findings. Residents are encouraged to actively participate, recognizing their pivotal role in influencing the council's strategies and policies.

Dr. Tim Harrison, CEO of Ararat Rural City Council, expressed appreciation for residents' cooperation, stating, "We value our residents' time and honest feedback. Your insights are vital in shaping the future initiatives and policies of the council." Dr. Harrison further assured residents that confidentiality is a top priority in the survey process, emphasizing that individual responses and personal details will remain strictly confidential. Only aggregated and anonymized results will be shared with the Ararat Rural City Council.

In fostering transparency and accountability, the Ararat Rural City Council sees this initiative as a crucial step towards building a stronger and more resident-centric community. By actively engaging with residents, the council aims to create a collaborative environment that ensures continuous improvement and better governance.
