Toowoomba Regional Council (TRC) is advising some library facilities across the region will close this Monday 6 November, 2023 to allow staff to attend a professional development day.

The Toowoomba, Highfields, Crows Nest and Oakey libraries will close this coming Monday and resume normal operating hours from Tuesday 7 November.

TRC Environment and Community Portfolio Lead Cr Tim McMahon said the library return chutes, online renewals and other resources would remain available during the planned closure.

“Renewals can be made at any time. Login to the library catalogue or download the Toowoomba Region Libraries app to renew your items.

“While we’re closed, electronic resources including books, audio books, newspapers, magazines and films are accessible via the eLibrary.

“If you have any questions, contact your nearest library location,” Cr McMahon said.

The Highfields Customer Service Centre, located in the Highfields Library building, will also be closed on Monday 6th November 2023.

Other Customer Service Centres will remain open as per usual and the call centre can be contacted via phone on 131 872 or email -  [email protected].
