Emerald Art Awards 2022 recipients announced

Recipients of the annual Central Highlands Regional Council Art Awards – Emerald have been announced at the official award presentation on Friday night.

Council received 132 entries across seven categories.

Mayor Kerry Hayes presented the awards and said he is pleased to see the calibre of art increasing every year.

‘The Central Highlands is quickly becoming a hub for art and creativity,’ says Mayor Kerry Hayes.

‘It’s especially great to see entrants come in from beyond the Central Highlands.

‘Congratulations to the deserving recipients and thank you to all the wonderful artists who submitted an entry,’ he said.

Voting for the People’s Choice Award will continue until midnight on 21 August 2022 (midnight) via Have Your Say Highlands Council. The winner will be announced via social media on 23 August 2022.

All entries will be on display at the Emerald Art Gallery Monday to Friday between 8.30 am and 5.00 pm until 17 September 2022.
