Public notice: Lease of Hangar 1 at Emerald Airport

Posted on April 28, 2022

The Emerald Airport is seeking offers for the lease of Hangar 1.

The airport is owned and operated by council and is located approximately six kilometres south of Emerald’s town centre. The airport is serviced by QantasLink and Virgin Australia (in partnership with Alliance Airlines), with regular general aviation operations.

The airport is the only publicly accessible, high capacity, commercial and general aviation airport in the Central Highlands region. Many locals, tourists, business people, health services, and the fly-in fly-out (FIFO) workforce rely on flights to and from the airport.

The hangar measures 12 m x 12 m in size, 3 m in height at its lowest point and 4.4 m at the highest point.

The hangar has a concrete floor with an open front and one side, as below.
