Studio44, 44 Latham Street, Chermside Monday, May 16, 2022, 1 – 3pm Brisbane City Council’s Pop-up Shop Program encourages property owners with vacant shops in Brisbane to provide temporary use of their property to businesses wanting to trial a bricks and mortar store.With the help of the Pop-up Shop Program, Art from the Urban Wilderness has opened a print studio and art gallery in Chermside. The space is also open for events to experience a variety of art techniques including printmaking, drawing and collage.Join this two-hour small group drawing session, where you can relax in the studio with an array of natural found objects such as seed pods, banksia cones, shells, leaves, and pinned insects.BYO sketchbook and watercolour paper so you can draw and sketch using the supplied inks, pens and coloured pencils, and play with different mark-making tools.No art experience necessary. Full guidance and tuition will be provided by Sandra Pearce to build your confidence and equip you with new skills to try out in the field.
