Strengthening connections for those 55 years and older

Published on 10 February 2022

If you are 55 years or over, now is your chance to tell us what would make a difference to your mental and physical wellbeing, with online, in person and local community focus groups and interviews currently underway for the Macedon Ranges Village Connect Project.

Our consultation is looking for input from residents 55 years and older, about the current services and activities being used to support individual wellbeing and any barriers that may prevent participation in local activities and events.

Outcomes of the consultation will be shared with community and stakeholders to drive a range of activities and initiatives aimed at alleviating loneliness and social isolation experienced by older people in the Macedon Ranges community.

To participate, complete our online survey or share your thoughts by attending an in person one-on-one information session with the Village Connect Project Officer at Romsey, Kyneton and Woodend library during February and March.

For more information email or call on 5422 0262.

Macedon Ranges Village Connect is funded through Village Hubs Grants program, an initiative of the Australian Government’s Seniors Connected Program and is administered by Independent Living Assessment (ILA).
