Date is set for the What’s On Cardinia Festival 2022! Published: 29 October 2021

The inaugural What’s on Cardinia Festival date has been set.

The month-long festival is planned for February 2022 and preparation is currently in full swing to showcase local businesses, art, and creatives to our community and the wider region.

The festival will promote local artists and creatives to perform and exhibit in venues and businesses around the Shire including the Cardinia Cultural Centre in Pakenham and the Hills Hub in Emerald.

Council was overwhelmed with the number of local businesses and creatives who expressed their interest to participate in the festival. With a wide range of venues and creatives being involved in the festival, there will be something for everyone no matter what their creative taste.

The festival will highlight a range of creatives such as dancers, musicians, and photographers in a variety of our local businesses including cafes and restaurants, retail outlets and tourism attractions.

Cardinia Shire Mayor Councillor Brett Owen is very excited about our first What’s On Cardinia Festival.

“This has been an incredibly challenging couple of years not only for our businesses but also our local creatives, and this festival is one way Council can help to bring the community together,” Cr Owen said.

“What’s On Cardinia Festival will be a showcase of all things Cardinia Shire and will provide a much-needed opportunity for us to reconnect as the vibrant community which we are.”
