Local Brisbane artists, Sharyn Hall and Wendy Bailye create exceptional quality, handmade and hand-fashioned work that is guaranteed to have the WOW factor! Both are well recognised in their respective fields as contemporary artists – Sharyn specialises in textile surface design, mixed media, and silversmithing; Wendy works as a felt maker and textile artist. Enjoying long-standing international careers in the arts, they are at an age when their best work is being showcased after decades of experience, learning, and teaching. Much of their work is inspired by nature, travels, and life experiences and both artists will be present at the exhibition to talk about their artworks. Wild Things combines an exhibition of quality contemporary art and textiles with a fabulous gallery shop. You can purchase unique works on silk, cotton, wool, metal, wood, and paper created with a variety of techniques including felting, stitching, dyeing, printing, forging, painting, texturing, and embellishment. The studio de-stash area will be stocked with textile treasures, art supplies, samples, and seconds, sold at bargain prices with new items added daily.
