Learn about how we manage pets in Yarra

Wednesday 04 August 2021

Yarra Council is running two community information sessions in August where you can find out more about our Domestic Animal Management Plan 2021-24 and how we manage pets in Yarra.

We’re required to develop a new Domestic Animal Management Plan every four years. It provides us with an important tool to promote responsible pet ownership in Yarra.

It also lets pet owners and residents know about their rights and responsibilities when it comes to our four legged friends.

These sessions have been postponed due to COVID-19 restrictions.

We will update you when we are able to reschedule these information sessions.

Community consultation

We encouraged everyone in the community to share their thoughts about the draft DAM Plan by filling out an online feedback form (this closed 15 July).

We also held an in-person drop in session at the Gleadell Street Market on Saturday 10 July.
