On Saturday 21 August at 7pm, singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, visual artist and poet, Karl S Williams is performing at The Pavilion.

Karl’s songs are a distillation of life, love and the human condition. Delivered with powerful conviction that takes your breath away, his performances are frequently referred to as a visceral and spiritual experience.

Karl says he is currently working on a new album and hopes to be able to mix his new songs in with his classic old delta blues and hillbilly tunes.

"I’ll be bringing my guitar (named Ida Belle), my banjo (named Bettie Mae) and playing some piano songs too.

“I love to finish with a spiritual song which involves some crowd participation. It’s a nice way to bring everyone together and keep that music alive.

“Last time I played in the Gympie region was late last year when I was on the Festival of Small Halls tour at Rainbow Beach.

“This will be my first time playing in Gympie itself and I am really looking forward to it," he said.

Also performing on the night are the truly authentic, naturally charismatic, transpacific troubadours, known as Those Folk.

The performance by Karl S Williams is part of Gympie Regional Council’s RESET program, supported by the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland.
